I love mathematics because it is hidden everywhere in everyday life. I am always curious to dive into other people’s challenges and translate them into mathematical concepts, after which we can use our mathematical toolkit to develop a working solution, and translate that back into an improvement that the customer can apply in practice. To see how we can help our customers making big strides by applying CQM’s specific expertise, is highly rewarding.
Next to that, it is great to work together in a strong and close team of specialists, to jointly develop optimal solutions. Helping and stimulating each other, and learning from each other every day, makes it a true pleasure to get to work, day in, day out. From the very first day onwards, I have felt really at home in this environment of peers, going in-depth for the best solution on one hand, and having extensive experience translating this to practice on the other hand.
After my training in applied mathematics and 34 years of experience at Philips Research, I hope to work with great pleasure and passion with my CQM colleagues and customers for many years to come, to jointly bring simplicity to complicated processes.
