Principal Consultant Jacob Jan Paulus, together with former colleague Kuno Huisman (ASML / Tilburg University), appeared on the agenda of this international conference to introduce this innovation. The game platform was launched and shared with the entire Decision Quality community during The DQ Europe Conference — and now, with you too.

From abstract concepts to concrete behavior

Within the field of Decision Quality, everything revolves around six pillars that together ensure better decisions and more consistent outcomes. (For the curious reader: here the steps of the DQ chain are explained step by step.)

But how do you translate that abstract theory into practical skills?

Together with initiator Kuno Huisman, CQM developed the Decision Quality Game Platform: a tool that turns these insights into something concrete and trainable. Users work through realistic decision-making scenarios involving multiple-choice questions, categorization tasks, and calculations—either individually or in groups. This fosters not only understanding but also behavioral change.

“You can think of it as a sort of Kahoot++, but fully tailored to professional decision-making,” says Jacob Jan, co-developer of the platform.

Open source and ready to use

We are making the platform available as open source so that anyone—from consultants to educators—can add their own case studies. Thanks to its accessible syntax and scalability, it can be used in boardroom sessions, training programs, and strategy workshops.

With this launch, we offer a practical tool that enables organizations to immediately improve their decision-making: independent, flexible, and impactful.

This innovation underscores our ambition not only to solve complex problems but also to make them understandable and manageable. Drawing on deep expertise in Data Science, Mathematical Optimization, and Industrial Statistics, we develop solutions that work—in practice, not just on paper. From complex to concrete. Always.
