The logistics sector does not stand still – innovations such as Smart Warehousing, AI and Data Driven Logistics are changing the way we work. But how do you ensure that you really use these developments in your daily practice? During our recent Data Driven Warehousing Training, participants discovered how they can use data to optimize their warehousing processes and improve their operational performance. One participant put it succinctly: “I now have a clear picture of where my department needs to go in terms of data-driven working. I immediately discussed this with my manager.”

From intuition to facts: what you really learn

The training shows you how to move away from gut feelings and make decisions based on data. • Clearly visualize and communicate insights with compelling data visualizations and effective storytelling.

Interactive sessions and practice-oriented assignments

What makes this training unique is the combination of theory and practice. Participants started working on realistic assignments, such as analyzing WMS data to immediately implement improvements in their own work. Trainer Britt Mathijsen emphasized: “The interaction provided lively discussions and practically applicable insights that you cannot get from books.”

The power of learning through play: the Warehousing Game

One of the highlights was undoubtedly the Warehousing Game. In this game, participants took on the role of pick order planner and developed strategies to optimize their processes. “The game brought energy and fostered strategic thinking in a dynamic yet playful environment,” said trainer Monique van den Broek. Participants discovered how to apply data-driven optimization by experiencing firsthand what works—and what doesn’t—in a warehouse setting.

Immediate results through practical insights

In addition to practical assignments, participants were presented with inspiring case studies on forecasting and simulation. Participants noted that these sessions helped them immediately formulate concrete plans for their own departments. One participant remarked: “The training offers not only knowledge but also immediately applicable tools that you can put to use right away.”
