Lean Six Sigma
DMAIC – Green Belt / Black Belt
Lean Six Sigma is a well-established and proven methodology for improving existing processes in a structured, fact-based way and achieving significant cost savings. CQM has extensive experience in carrying out Six Sigma-type projects for a wide range of clients. We have also trained hundreds of Green and Black Belts in LSS/DMAIC and/or DfSS. Our training courses use standard templates, examples and fully developed cases to help your engineers apply LSS/DMAIC effectively in their own projects.
CQM is also regularly brought in when previous LSS programs have focused too heavily on individual tools and Minitab, while the organization needs a better understanding of how and why DMAIC works. What needs to be achieved in each phase? How do the different phases relate to each other? And how do you use the appropriate tools to achieve the objectives of each phase? If these questions sound familiar, a refresher course for previously trained LSS/DMAIC Green Belts may be exactly what you need.
Content
Our Lean Six Sigma training courses are always customized. We tailor the level, content and depth to the participants and the objectives of your organization, from employees involved in product and process improvement to experienced or certified Green Belts.
An example Green Belt training course could consist of six training days:
-
Day 1: DMAIC overview · Define phase · Project Charter · Stakeholder Analysis · Measure phase & Metrics
-
Day 2: Metrics · Data Collection · Measurement System Analysis · Process Capability & Stability · Catapult exercise
-
Day 3: Review of participants' own Project Charters · Types of Problems · Process Mapping · Analyze phase · Multi-Vari Analysis
-
Day 4: Confidence Intervals · Introduction to DoE · Catapult exercise · Lean Principles
-
Dag 5: Design of Day 5: Design of Experiments · Catapult exercise · Regression Analysis
-
Day 6: Improve phase · FMEA · Control Methods · Control phase & SPC · Summary
More focus on the DMAIC approach
Want to apply LSS/DMAIC more effectively within your organization? We can shift the emphasis from individual tools and techniques to the overall approach:
- The objectives of each DMAIC phase
- The relationship between the different phases
- The methodology for using the appropriate tools to achieve the objectives of each phase
From Green Belt to Black Belt
Want to develop experienced Green Belts into Black Belts? The training can focus on areas including:
- Project selection and implementation of change
- Guidance and coaching of Green Belt projects
- Human Dynamics and dealing with resistance and conflict
- Change Management
- Leadership and coaching skills
Coaching on your own project
Want to apply what you have learned directly in practice? In addition to the group training days, an experienced CQM DMAIC Belt can coach you on your own project. Together, you will look at the approach, the next steps and the appropriate application of tools and techniques.
By the end of the training
Depending on the chosen level and program, you will learn how to work with the DMAIC approach and apply it to improvement projects within your organization.
