What if you could not only analyse the quality of strategic decisions, but actively improve the decision-making process itself? At the 5th European Conference of the Society of Decision Professionals, CQM introduced a true first: the Decision Quality Game Platform – an interactive, web-based tool that makes decision quality tangible through gameplay.
Principal Consultant Jacob Jan Paulus joined forces with former colleague Kuno Huisman (ASML / Tilburg University) to present this innovation. The platform was officially launched at The DQ Europe Conference, where it was shared with the global Decision Quality community – and now also with you.

From abstract concepts to concrete behaviour
In the field of Decision Quality, everything revolves around six key pillars that drive better decisions and more consistent outcomes.
(Curious to know more? You’ll find a step-by-step breakdown of the DQ chain here.)
But how do you translate abstract theory into practical skills?
Together with initiator Kuno Huisman, CQM developed the Decision Quality Game Platform – a tool that makes key insights both concrete and trainable. Users engage with realistic decision-making scenarios involving trade-offs, classifications, and calculations – individually or in teams. Resulting in not only deeper understanding, but actual behavioural change.
“You could think of it as a kind of Kahoot++, but fully tailored to professional decision-making,” says Jacob Jan, co-developer of the platform.
Open source and ready to use
We’ve made the platform available as open source, so anyone – from consultant to lecturer – can add their own cases. Thanks to its accessible syntax and scalable structure, it can be used in boardroom sessions, training programmes and strategy workshops.
With this launch, we offer a hands-on tool that enables organizations to improve decision-making directly: independent, flexible and impactful.
This innovation reflects our core ambition: not only solving complex challenges, but also making them understandable and manageable.
Through our expertise in Data Science, Mathematical Optimization and Industrial Statistics, we develop solutions that work – in practice, not just on paper.
From complex to concrete. Always.
