Beyond coincidence: understanding causality

==Registration is no longer possible, the maximum number of participants has been reached==

"If you do what you did, you will get what you got" is a well-known saying, highlighting precisely why continuous improvement does not happen spontaneously. To make improvements and bring about change, it is essential to understand the cause of a particular effect. Once you understand that cause, you can address it and improve the outcome. In simple situations, these relationships are often one-to-one; for instance, kicking harder against a ball results in a higher speed of the ball. However, in more complex situations, establishing a causal relationship becomes challenging.

On March 21, 2024, CQM is organizing a symposium. We will delve into how you can identify causal relationships in your data and why it is crucial to establish them correctly. Additionally, we will guide you on how to leverage causal relationships to make better decisions. We are pleased to announce our external speaker for the event:

Richard Post

Postdoctoral Researcher in Causal Inference at TU/e

Do you work with data (collecting, analyzing, and/or visualizing)? Then it's crucial to look for causal relationships... And if you want to know more about this, we warmly invite you to be present at our symposium on Thursday afternoon, March 21, 2024!
