I enjoy translating a practical and complex problem into a concrete mathematical problem. On top of that, it is satisfying and at the same time challenging, to solve this mathematical problem and translate it back into a solution in the 'real' world. That was also one of the reasons that I followed the Bachelor Applied Mathematics and the subsequent Master Industrial and Applied Mathematics at the TU in Eindhoven.
I am particularly interested in complex problems in the field of Statistics, Stochastic Processes, Probability Theory and Data Science. I am also a big proponent of collaboration, both within CQM as well as with the customer. This fits with the vision of CQM, in which everyone is willing to help each other at any time. Another aspect of what I like here is the wide range of projects, both at very large and smaller companies in different sectors. Therefore, every day is different at CQM!
